The Institute provides free, power point educational presentations to schools, business organizations and community associations. Groups of twelve or less can be accommodated in our office; larger groups can be scheduled if the Boating Center classroom is available or we may come to your location. Typically about 45 minutes in length, these events can be combined with a clean-up event. Age-related videos are shown for younger age students.
Contact Dr. Bailey by email or telephone to schedule a presentation.
We maintain four bulletin boards at Lake Merritt for the education and enjoyment of the thousands who walk, jog, and stroll along the shore.
We have written several papers on the Lake, including A Year in the Life of Lake Merritt (2.1 MB PDF); Oxygen; Water Level & Tidal Flows; and Urban Runoff.
We maintain a library of studies and reports about Lake Merritt. Documents may be reviewed in our office by appointment.
