Get involved in our community efforts to clean up Lake Merritt! Join us every Tuesday and Saturday morning. It’s a free and rewarding way to spend time outdoors before the sun gets too hot. Bring your kids, friends, neighbors, or teammates!
August 2nd -Lakeside Chat recording – HANK- the rescue American White Pelican at Lake Merritt.
A short film by filmmaker Kari Paul, & panel discussion about about how to support this disabled bird in the nation’s 1st wildlife refuge.
Saturday, August 24th – Free concert at the Lakeside Park, Edoff Memorial Bandstand! Listen to the West Coast Blues Society Caravan of All Stars, led by blues musician and historian Ronnie Stewart.
Saturday, August 31st 3pm– Lake Merritt Institute fundraiser x Oakland Roots home game
Come out cheer for Oakland Roots and support Lake Merritt Institute! $5 of each ticket sales will be donated to Lake Merritt Institute.
