New Code for U-Clean-It Boxes

Help Us Maintain our U-Clean-It boxes

We’ve had some unexpected “funny business” with our U-Clean-It boxes, so we’ve changed the code as of Nov 1st, 2024 to ensure we stay in communication with everyone who has access and maintain the boxes.

To get the new code, please join us for a quick safety training session. This training is held every Tuesday and Saturday at 10 am at our office (568 Bellevue Ave).

A Few Key Reminders for Using U-Clean-It Boxes:

  1. Sign In & log your impact: Don’t forget to use the sign-in sheet inside the box.  Record the number of trash bags collected next to your name. This data helps us report on our collective efforts and is vital in securing funding to keep our programs running.
  2. Trash Bag Drop Off & Return Equipment: Tie up trash bags and leave by U-Clean-it box for us to easily spot and pick up after end of day.  After each cleanup, please return all tools and materials to the same box you found them in.

Email us info@lakemerrittinstitute.org to communicate anything out of the ordinary to help us maintain and continue to make U-clean-it boxes widely accessible.

Thank you for your ongoing support and stewardship at Lake Merritt.
