Join Lake Merritt Institute for this Martin Luther King Jr. Day for a day of action as we honor Dr. King’s legacy by giving back to our community through environmental stewardship and service!
Lake Merritt Institute is excited to host MLK Day of Service Lake cleanup, a “day on, not a day off.”
Event Details:
- Date: Monday, January 20, 2025
- Time: 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
- Location: 568 Bellevue Ave, Oakland, CA 94610
Instructions:
Meet us at the Sailboat House to check in. Plan to arrive between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM for a brief safety training session. We’ll provide all the equipment you’ll need for the cleanup, and we’ll finish by noon.
Prior to the Event:
- Fill out the required individual online waiver from the City of Oakland.
- Watch our “How to Clean Lake Merritt” volunteer information video for helpful tips.
- Groups of 6 or more people, please RSVP here for us to prepare enough equipment:
