Lake Merritt Institute – Summer Cleanups every Tuesdays & Saturdays 10am
Walk-ups for individuals are welcome, no registration required. Meet us at 568 Bellevue, Sailboat House at 10am and we’ll provide safety training and all equipment. For groups, please email us at info@lakemerrittinstitute.org to schedule.
Free Concerts by Oakland Municipal Band at Lake Merritt start July 4, and continue July 13, 20, 27, and August 3, 2025
Our beloved neighbors at the Junior Center of Art & Science (soon to be East Bay Creative Lab) are running so many wonderful events and programs for all ages. This summer is a great time to go check them out!
Creek to Bay Day – September 20, 2025
Save the date! Lake Merritt Institute will be part of the 30th annual Oakland Creek to Bay Day, which is part of California and International Coastal Cleanup Day. By participating, you’ll not only make a positive impact on our community but also help protect our creeks, bay, ocean, and beaches.

Boating Center Rentals
